Pure Drops Red Wine

Peloponnese is one of the most historic wine regions of Greece. Spread throughout hillsides, plains and plateaus, the vineyards of the Peloponnese are known for their diversity and complexity. Not far from the pretty town of Nafplion we find Nemea, the most important PDO (protected designation of origin) region in southern Greece to produce red wines.

Here the Agiorgitiko grape is used and produces wines famous for their deep red color, complex aroma and long, velvety palate. The wines of Nemea well deserve the name “Hercules Blood” that was given from the local growers to attribute the qualities of this full bodied, deep red wine to the mythological hero.

Agiorgitiko from Nemea and Syrah

P.G.I. Peloponnese

Characteristics

A delicious blend of two fine varieties from Peloponnesian vineyards: the popular and versatile Agiorgitiko with plum and cherry aromas and the noble Syrah with its intense, spicy and blackberry character.

After maturing for 6 months in oak barrels gives a shiny, youthful, deep-red ruby color.

Intense on the nose, with ripe fruit, plums and cherries, chocolate and some spicy undertones. The palate is broad, with good body, medium but velvety tannins, moderate acidity and vibrant flavors of red fruit.
